The denizens of Pompeii certainly lived in interesting times. They loved their art, as you can see from the frescoes adorning the interior of their buildings. And one day, a long time ago, the folks of that fine town suffered through a series of earthquakes. Perhaps they thought things couldn't get much worse, but Mount Vesuvius had other ideas. You've seen the pictures, but nothing compares with seeing (and touching) it for yourself.
